PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In the wake of loss — whether through death, displacement, transition, disruption, or identity shifts — educators are often the emotional anchors for students. Their role is not to "fix" grief but to offer steady presence, compassionate communication, and safe spaces where healing and belonging can grow.

The Kita Center’s new workshop, “Navigating Grief in the Classroom”, provides relational, practical tools to support grieving students through everyday practices rooted in dignity, emotional literacy, and community-building. The resources we provide are designed to be accessible, developmentally appropriate, and adaptable to the unique needs of each school setting.

We invite you to learn how to sit beside grief, listen to what it needs, and create environments where students feel seen, heard, and valued.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
If you care for youth; in classrooms, in homes, or in everyday connections… you belong here. Our resources are here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, reassurance, and hope as you help young people navigate grief and find healing.
