Virtual Bereavement Resources

CopingAfterSuicide offers virtual support groups with multiple cycles each year. The support groups have a cost associated, in addition to some free educational series that are offered specific to suicide-loss and targeted by loss types or ages. The website also offers book recommendations.

David Kessler  offers virtual support groups at a cost (Tender Hearts), and free support groups or educational series as well. At times, a free 3-week suicide loss support group is available, as well as grief groups offered to bereaved parents or those who have lost a spouse. 

​

Modern Widows Club: offering virtual support groups, The Modern Widows Club Parenting Support Club is a volunteer-led community designed specifically to support widowed parenting as they navigate the unique challenges of parenting after loss. It serves parents with children of all ages, from infancy through young adulthood and is to supplement the benefits of local and other virtual communities.​

The Samaritans offers online grief support groups, and many resources online for educatation. Based in Boston, the organization also offers in-person support groups. 

​

AFSP, Healing Conversations:  Healing Conversations is a one-time visit (phone, virtual, in-person)  that connects those who have lost a loved one to suicide with trained volunteers who are also survivors of suicide loss. The goal of this connection is to help recent survivors navigate this challenging journey by offering support, connection and resources. (English only). In addition, the organization offers a searchable filter for in-person support groups to find connection in your area.

Grief Yoga with Paul Denniston: Free virtual resources. Wash away anxiety, hurts, and regrets. This transformative class explores an empowering flow using movement, breath, and sound to embrace the flow of life and emotions like waves.
