Public Notice:
Environmental Assessment for The Kita Center Project
The Kita Center is committed to expanding mental health resources for individuals and families affected by suicide loss. As part of our initiative, we are moving forward with finalizing the development of the Mental Health Community Center located at 114 East Shore Drive, Acton, Maine.
In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), an Environmental Assessment (EA) has been conducted to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of this project. Based on the findings, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) has been issued, concluding that the project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects.
To ensure transparency and public involvement, we invite community members to review the Environmental Assessment and share their feedback.
