The Kita Center

Young Adult Pilot Weekend

July 11–13, 2025
The Kita Center – Acton, Maine

Help us to shape transformative programs for support.

We invite you to join us for the first-ever Young Adult Pilot Weekend at The Kita Center — a weekend designed to build community, foster resilience, and support healing after suicide loss.

This weekend features two complementary programs. While these two programs will run independently, shared meals and special group moments will bring participants together to build connection and shared learning. Learn more about each program below.

Program 1:
Young Adult Resilience Retreat

For young adults (ages 18–30) who have experienced a suicide loss, this retreat offers connection, reflection, and healing through community-building activities, nature, and supportive group programming.

As a pilot program, your participation will directly shape the future of The Kita Center’s young adult initiatives, helping us create a lasting, supportive community for years to come.

We are honored to walk alongside you on this journey. â€‹

For young adults interested in becoming future camp counselors, this program provides leadership development and training to support grieving children at our flagship Camp Kita Program. Participation is by invitation only.
